The head of the Secretary of Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture. Rafael Combaluzier Medina, informed the start of the Dredging works that will be carried out in 6 fishing ports, of the state, which will allow the thousands of boats of men and women who are dedicated to this activity to enter and exit more easily.
In this framework, it was highlighted that first in Celestún, first with heavy machinery from the Ministry of the Navy, works will be carried out to give more depth and breadth to the channel that is currently used and later with a dredge of the same federal agency that allows to have the necessary draft for that can access larger vessels which currently cannot enter the dock.
“We will be collaborating as necessary with SEMAR , to give all the facilities that are within our reach, so that fishermen are benefited as soon as possible, especially in this octopus harvest season which is being very positive for the sector, stated the state official.
