Siemens explained that the Mitras Project consists of the construction of a new 18,000 square meters in Santa Catarina, where it is planned to produce 874,000 daily plastic parts, in a sustainable way, in the framework of the Hannover Messe, which takes place in Germany 30 from May to 2 of June.
Monterrey, NL. the german company Siemens announced this monday 30 of May, an investment of 683 million pesos to develop the Mitras Project, in the municipality of Santa Catarina, which includes the manufacture of low voltage electrical products, with which more than 450 direct jobs.
The announcement was made jointly by the Secretary of Economy of Nuevo León, Ivan Rivas Rodriguez and Alejandro Preinfalk, President and CEO of Siemens Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, within the framework of the international technology fair Hannover tradefair, which takes place in Germany.
“At Siemens we reinforce our commitment to New Lion. That is why I am pleased to announce that we will expand our operations in our factory in Santa Catarina., which translates into an investment of more than 683 million pesos in theMithras Project”, stated Preinfalk.
This project consists of the construction of a new plant of almost 18,000 square meters of construction with certification LEED Gold. It is expected to produce 874,000 daily plastic parts (low voltage products), with technology, which will reduce pollution thanks to the reduction of carbon emissions.
The director thanked the support and backing of the government of the state of Nuevo León and the Ministry of Economy "for the achievement of this great project that will allow the increase of our productive capacities in this region".
For his part, the state economy secretary, congratulated Siemens for making the decision to select New Lion for the establishment of the Mitras Project.
