Bobcat has unveiled the E165, the largest excavator in its line, designed for heavy digging and lifting operations on commercial and residential construction sites, underground service applications and highway and bridge projects.
The E165 has four selectable power modes for better performance. Whether the priority is fuel efficiency or full power for tough digging applications, operators can adjust performance to job demands. Equipped with a 131 hp and a conventional tail twist design.
A power boost button on the right stick temporarily increases hydraulic power to allow operators to traverse rough terrain.
For your service and maintenance, the E165 includes fully open access covers to reach the top side of the engine, while the bottom, hinged allows good access . Solid steel side covers provide quick access to daily maintenance items, while centralized grease banks at the base of the arm are accessible to simplify daily maintenance.
Smart power control adjusts load to engine rpm, hydraulic pump torque and motor response, improving efficiency in any of the four power modes. This feature, according to BOBCAT is only enabled while in excavation work mode.
The E165 also comes with a pressurized cab that features an acoustic isolation seal to keep sound levels low inside the operator station. A top window is designed to provide better visibility on the machine, plus narrow angle pillars and small window joints, as well as a removable lower front window, allow operators to see work with little obstruction or strain.
